OVERVIEW

AWOR was established on 15 March 1998 in Afghanistan as a woman based Organization and its objectives were to mobilize women, rehabilitate their civil rights, and enhance their capacity and livelihood. Find employment and income generated activities for widows, handicapped and disabled women to make them supply their own needs improve their way of living and strengthen their economy, and finally make them self-sufficient. Vision

Creating a society where women achieve their equal rights and create economic development opportunities and better condition and environment for living.

Mission

Social, Economic and Political Empowerment of women by offering opportunities and strengthening women livelihood and enhancing their capacity to increase their involvement in the development and governance process.

Goal

1- Increase family income by woman based activities.
2- Increase education level among women and make them aware of their rights.
3- Link women with respective Government organizations for addressing their issues.
4- Creating and using CDCs and networks to increase the general knowledge of women
5- Creating Self Help Groups and using its savings for microfinance and small loans for later villagers use
6- Implementing Literacy, health, women rights, humanitarian & other projects funded by Different Orgs & Government Agencies.
