NewsJhpiego and Afghan Women Organization for Rehabilitation Partner to Improve Maternal and Child Health in Afghanistan

Kabul, Afghanistan – Afghan Women Organization for Rehabilitation (AWOR) is pleased to announce the signing of a Subaward agreement with Jhpiego Corporation, under the USAID-funded Family Planning, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (FPMNCH) Project.

Through this partnership, Jhpiego has awarded AWOR a cost-reimbursable subaward with a total value of USD 3.38 million, effective from 1 October 2015 to 30 September 2019. The collaboration aims to strengthen family planning services and improve maternal, newborn, and child health outcomes across Afghanistan.

Under the agreement, AWOR will support the implementation of critical health interventions, community-based services, and capacity-building activities in alignment with national health priorities and USAID objectives.

AWOR values this collaboration with Jhpiego, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University, and remains committed to delivering high-quality, life-saving health services for women, children, and families throughout Afghanistan.
