Kabul, Afghanistan – March 2022 – Afghan Women Organization for Rehabilitation (AWOR) is pleased to announce the award of a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order/Contract under the COMAC Program for the provision of immediate assistance through medicines and medical equipment to the western region of Afghanistan.

The contract, valued at AFN 38.2 million, was awarded on 11 March 2022 and covers the delivery of essential medical supplies to four provinces: Herat, Farah, Nimroz, and Badghis. The procurement is implemented under the U.S. Government Cooperative Agreement No. 72030618CA00005.

Through this intervention, AWOR will support life-saving health services and strengthen medical response capacity in underserved communities across the west region. The initiative aligns with AWOR’s mission to improve access to quality healthcare, particularly for vulnerable populations affected by conflict and humanitarian needs.
